In this guide we are going to explain
how you can export your video from Adobe Premiere to Cleaner
5 - Realsystem Edition with my video server plugin v0.93. As example
we take the sample file "Ztour" of premiere
and code this project inside Cleaner 5.
As source quality of the "Ztour"
is not very good, the quality of the output will also be
low.
1) First open the Ztour project within
Adobe Premiere.

2 ) Select File->Export Timeline->Movie

3) This will bring up the Export Movie window. Press
Settings

4) Select the Video Server Plugin. If
this is the first time that you are using the
plugin click on "Advanced Settings".
It is normal that you get an CRC error the first time
that you use the plugin. If everything is correctly
it should detect that your are using Adobe Premiere
and will load the default settings for it. If you are
not sure if you are using the right
settings please verify them..

5) Because I assume that you are going
to display your coded sequence on a computer screen, you
need to set the pixel aspect ratie to: square pixels.
It is recommended that you do not change the resolution
of frame rate. However if you are exporting your own
captured DV material (720x576) and want to code them
with very low bitrates, it is recommended that you lower
the resolution to e.g. 352x288 for optimum coding efficiency.

6) Now we are ready to start exporting.
When you click on the save button, the plugin starts and
creates the IPCserver.AVI. Please note that the
filename that you enter in the Export Movie window is
not the file that is written to disc. (For specialists:
it is the PIPEname to communicate to the Encoder).

When everything went O.K. you will see
the plugin window. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW.

7) We we are ready to open the IPCserver.AVI
in Cleaner 5. Launch the program and select
file->open.

Select the IPCserver.AVI (is
written in c:\ by default) and press
"Open".

Step 8: Now the IPCserver.AVI is opened. You
can play the file within Cleaner. Set the encoding
parameters and start encoding.
